(Must have own car and Full Clean Driving License)

We are hiring a Sales Merchandisers to create and develop relationships in stores with the aim of growing sales within them through a mix of direct selling, business development, data collection & merchandising. We need the successful candidate to be able to effectively work as part of a team. Willing to support colleagues, as well as learn from them, to achieve a common goal.

Weekly hours: from 8/ 12/ 16 / 20 available

All our work is carried out from Monday to Friday during general Business hours (no late nights or weekends)

 

Core Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Working within Dunnes Stores
  • Gaining and maintaining space across all products lines
  • Ensuring Maximum activity in your stores to support volume and value of sales
  • Enhancing the path to purchase through – POS placement, Product training, Merchandising, SEL’s placement/ correction, Distribution and Space
  • Gaining incremental space
  • Communicating store activity back to the team leads.
  • Implementing planograms and ensuring store compliance
  • Building and implementing promotional activity
  • Dealing with the client at a rep and regional manager level
  • Work with in-store contacts to pre-sell and execute trade activity (current & future) in stores
  • Capturing & Reporting in-store data (Promotional compliance, distribution data, incremental displays, etc.)

What do you need to be considered for this role?

  • Some merchandising and/or retail experience preferable but not essential
  • A motivated problem solver with a can-do attitude that displays good social intelligence
  • Full Clean Drivers License is ESSENTIAL!!!
  • An ability to build great working relationships with line managers, peers and customers
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and personal organisational skills
  • Strong technological acumen (Ability to work with tablets/phones)

Package:

  • €14.15 per hour
  • Lunch Allowance provided for Full days

PRL are hiring a Sales Merchandiser to create and develop relationships in stores with the aim of growing sales through a mix of direct selling, business development, data collection & analysis and merchandising. The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and effectively as part of a team. They must be willing to support colleagues, as well as learn from them, to achieve a common goal.

 

Role & responsibilities will include: 

  • Indirect selling & merchandising in the convenience channel, (Supervalu, Centra, Spar, Mace, Londis)
  • Generating extra space for the brand and client’s products by increasing core range distribution
  • Presenting & detailing the benefits to retailers of stocking the client’s products.
  • Merchandising all client SKU’s and replenishing stock on shelf, and building display units and feature displays
  • Completion of full journey plan on a weekly basis.
  • Placing FSU’s and Point of Sale to drive incremental sales.
  • Meeting set targets for POS placement
  • Reporting all in-store activity via handheld.
  • The role requires close working with the Clients Field Sales team, as well as other key support functions such as Customer Marketing, Brand & Category Development teams

 

Essential qualifications / knowledge / experience

  • Sales & merchandising experience in the FMCG sector.
  • Excellent verbal communication and personal organizational skills
  • Ability to overcome objections and strong business acumen.
  • Proven record in hitting and exceeding both Sales & Merchandising KPI’s.
  • Experience in increasing core range distribution.
  • Understands Margin calculations.
  • Understands the importance of Merchandising, Category planning and planograms.
  • Strong technological acumen.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in this sector.

  • Salary: €30,429,69 per annum

Main Purpose of the Job:

  • Actively contribute to client account management ensuring client KPI’s are met, and operations adhere to best practice.
  • Meet and manage financial targets and reporting for relevant clients
  • To plan and control the workloads of those personnel reporting to them, by effective training, motivation, and where necessary disciplining.
  • To liaise at all levels with client management and personnel to ensure positive development of the business.

Overall Responsibility 

  • Responsible for PRL aspects of the Client Sales Strategy (Marketing, Sales and Support) driving the PRL sales teams and ensuring agreed strategies with the Client are implemented by Regional Sales Management team in an effective manner.
  • Responsible for PRL sales support team effectiveness to reaching a common sales goal / strategy.
  • Agree the overall KPI’s required to achieve client expectations and filter these down to individual PRL roles.
  • Consult, inform and advise on best-in-class sales and support strategies which meets volume and conversion targets.
  • Manage and monitor all KPIs on a weekly/monthly basis and report to Client on all performance levels.
  • Manage costs and ensure all invoices are correct, accurate and available on time.
  • Provide Continuous Improvement and Innovation of Service to optimize approach to changing Markets and challenges
  • Feed into the Client’s sales and marketing strategy offering key advice and assistance on future growth initiatives, resource structures, budgets, etc
  • Managing the Sales Teams through the Management Team
  • Managing the PRL support team and any future PRL resources to be put in place as part of the growth initiatives

Operational & Personnel

  • Ensure the team delivers the agreed KPI’s
  • Weekly and Monthly Reporting
  • Manage the Field Sales Managers and the sales teams.
  • Manage Efficient Journey Planning of all field teams
  • Manage communication of activities and priorities from your Clients to the sales team
  • Manage the flow of queries from the field back to Client
  • On an ongoing basis, monitor and adjust workload planning as required.
  • Spend time in the field accompanying field staff to ensure appropriate standards of performance
  • To maintain staffing levels to agreed levels and agree recruitment where/when needed
  • Formulate and deliver development plans for all staff
