Sustainability

We understand the impact our operations can have on the environment and our planet. That’s why we have a sustainability strategy, so that our effect can be a positive one.

The main objectives of our strategy are to reduce waste, minimise costs for our customers, nurture employee welfare and drive sustainable growth. Our Corporate Social Responsibility programme is aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development goals established by the United Nations.

Our Policies

Sustainability

  • PRL is fully committed to playing a proactive and responsible role in working sustainably for the benefit of the current and future generations and the organisation. We will deliver our sustainable agenda by actively working with our staff, our clients, and other stakeholders.

  • PRL recognises the importance of sustainability and the need to continually evaluate and improve ways of working to reduce the impact our business has on the local environment.

  • Aligned to COP26 requirements, it is our target to achieve Net Zero by 2050. We have established our Greenhouse Gas Emissions Baseline (2021) and have since set and agreed real, tangible sustainability focused goals.

  • We have recently published our first annual Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory Report which compares 2022 Greenhouse Gas emissions against the baseline of 2021. This report successfully achieved the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard.

At PRL, we recognise that sustainability is much more than just reducing our carbon footprint and includes other core areas such as the environmental, social and economic impact of a sustainable business. From a social perspective, PRL Logistics recently completed the Gender Pay Gap report which delivered a very positive result in comparison to the national average and the EU average.
