Our Corporate Social Responsibility

At PRL, we take pride in being a responsible corporate citizen and strive to make a positive impact on society and the environment. Our CSR initiatives revolve around several key areas, including environmental sustainability, community engagement, local support, long-term employment, employee welfare, and fair employment policies.

Environmental Sustainability:

PRL is committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across all scopes – Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 by 10% by 2026. By implementing sustainable practices and innovative solutions, we actively work towards conserving resources, reducing waste, and minimising our carbon footprint. Our goal is to contribute to a greener future by reducing the adverse impact our business may have on the local environment.

Community Engagement and Local Support:

We understand the importance of supporting the communities where we operate. PRL actively engages with local teams, clubs, and initiatives to foster a sense of community and collaboration. Through sponsorships, volunteer programmes and partnerships, we aim to create opportunities for growth, development, and well-being in the areas we serve.

Long-Term Employment and Fair Employment Policies:

At PRL, we believe in providing long-term sustainable employment opportunities. We prioritise employee welfare and strive to create a supportive work environment that promotes job security, professional growth and work-life balance. Our fair employment policies ensure equal opportunities for all, regardless of race, gender, religion, or other characteristics.

Employee Welfare Initiatives:

We recognise that our employees are the foundation of our success. PRL is dedicated to fostering a culture that values the well-being of our team members. Through various initiatives, such as wellness programmes, flexible work arrangements and employee assistance programmes, we prioritise their physical and mental health, creating an inclusive and supportive workplace.

In November 2022 PRL confirmed its new charity partner for 2023- 2025 as the Children’s Health Foundation. Children’s Health Foundation | Children’s Charity Ireland (childrenshealth.ie)

The new charity partner was selected by PRL employees themselves.
The Children’s Health Foundation is an academic healthcare organisation that is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare in Ireland. CFI’s mission is to promote and provide child-centred, research-led and learning informed healthcare, to the highest standards of safety and excellence.

The Children’s Health Foundation is the new name for CMRF Crumlin and Temple Street Foundation. They raise vital funds to support sick children and their families in CHI at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly and as such cover the majority of voted for charities.

They have several events over the year that we are excited to get involved in and help raise much needed funds for such great causes.

For our first fund raising event for the Children’s Health foundation, PRL prepared Valentine’s Kits with a box of Lindt chocolates with all proceeds going to charity.
